iDindi is built on a simple principle: your financial data belongs to you. By default, nothing leaves your iPhone.
1. Data Collection
iDindi does not collect, transmit, or store any personal financial data on our servers. All transactions, accounts, budgets, and categories you create are stored exclusively on your iPhone using the device's local storage.
We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the app.
2. Optional Cloud Sync
iDindi offers an optional synchronization feature that allows you to share data across multiple devices or with a household group. This feature is entirely opt-in.
If you choose to enable sync:
- Your data is transmitted to our servers exclusively to facilitate synchronization.
- All data is end-to-end encrypted before leaving your device. We cannot read your financial data — only members of your sharing group can decrypt it.
- Data in transit is encrypted using industry-standard protocols (TLS 1.3+).
- You can disable sync and delete your data from our servers at any time from within the app.
3. Analytics and Crash Reports
iDindi may collect anonymous crash reports and basic usage analytics through Apple's standard App Store mechanisms (TestFlight, App Store Connect). These reports contain no financial data and cannot be linked to individual users.
You can opt out of analytics in your iPhone's Privacy & Security settings under Analytics & Improvements.
4. Third-Party Services
iDindi does not integrate with any third-party advertising networks, analytics platforms, or data brokers. The app does not display ads.
If you download the app through the Apple App Store, Apple's own privacy policy applies to that transaction. Please refer to apple.com/privacy for details.
5. Data Security
Data stored locally on your device is protected by iOS's built-in security mechanisms, including hardware encryption and your device passcode or biometric authentication.
When sync is enabled, data is encrypted on-device before transmission and stored encrypted on our servers. Encryption keys are derived from your sharing group credentials and never leave your devices.
6. Children's Privacy
iDindi is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
